About this app
BlockCalls is a privacy-first incoming-call screening app for Android 10 and newer. Create exact-number, prefix, numeric-range, area or STD prefix-group, country-prefix, suffix, contains-digit, allowlist and device-dependent hidden-call rules. Matching calls can be rejected or silenced.
Rules, settings and blocked-call history stay on the device. Optional contact protection reads phone numbers into memory so saved contacts can be allowed before blocking rules; names are not read or stored. Call screening works offline. While the app is visible, it reports a random app installation ID, version and active status to the Ingenious store. Optional ratings and comments retry when connected; comments remain private unless public sharing is selected. No phone numbers or call records are reported. The app also includes local number simulation, rule search and editing, history controls, and local JSON backup and restore.
Call screening requires Android role support and user activation. Device and OEM behavior varies, Android may not expose every private call, and number prefixes do not guarantee current location because of mobile portability.

Optional feedback after a screened call and minimal visible-app usage reporting. Call screening remains offline. Physical incoming-call qualification is still required before production distribution.
