About this app

ShiftMaze is a maze game with corridors that change as you play. Choose Orbit, Hive or Island. Orbit solo and AI games offer 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 concentric rings, moving gateways and random corridor blocks.

New games start in a clear 2D view with gateways moving every 5 seconds. All game settings open dropdown lists inside the page. Red dots at the edges show open gates clearly in both 2D and raised 3D. Change the interval or switch to raised 3D walls before playing. Existing saved games retain their selected settings. The full maze and controls fit portrait and landscape phones, with outlined player markers and touch controls. Play solo, with an AI partner or against Maze AI. Kids trails offer a simpler starting point.

Create a player with your phone number, short name and PIN. Your registered phone number is visible only to the app publisher; phone ownership is not verified by SMS. After a connected registration or sign-in, solo and AI play can work offline with progress saved on the device. Friends and multiplayer require the game server and an internet connection. Active online games may end during server maintenance.

Permissions: internet access and requesting installation of app updates. The app does not read your contacts, phone number from the device, camera, microphone or GPS location. APK download analytics use approximate IP location and are separate from game registration.

After a human completes a maze level or Kids trail, they can choose 1–5 stars and send optional feedback or skip. Ratings and comments are private to the game publisher. Feedback saved offline is sent when that player signs in online. Ratings do not verify offline completion on the server.

Orbit controls: hold one of the curved arrows to move clockwise or counterclockwise around the current ring. Hold In to move inward through an available passage. The publisher dashboard shows distinct live players and active app devices. While a signed-in app is visible and connected, it reports a random device identifier and whether a game is running. Devices without a report for 75 seconds drop out of live counts. Offline activity cannot be observed.

App updates: Get the Update is enabled only when a newer version is available. Checks run quietly in the background. After tapping it, this version downloads the new APK in the background and verifies its checksum, package, version and signing certificate before opening Android installation. Android may require allowing updates from ShiftMaze and confirming installation. Downloads continue when the app closes and resume in the app. Older versions need this store update once to receive the built-in updater.

Orbit circular layers now offer only 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 rings. All game settings use dropdown lists inside the page instead of native popup selectors. Open gates are marked by red dots at their edges in 2D and raised 3D, keeping the passage clear. Existing saved games remain supported.
