About this app
TripLens is a local-first Android dash camera for recording journeys in resilient video segments. It organizes recordings by trip, supports protected clips that are excluded from rolling cleanup, shows driving context such as GPS and speed when available, and can continue recording through supported background and screen-off scenarios.
Optional Google Drive synchronization uploads recordings to a dedicated TripLens folder when enabled. Road-and-cabin concurrent recording depends on the Android device's camera capabilities; unsupported devices use the available single-camera workflow. Camera, microphone and location permissions are requested only for their related features.
Drivers remain responsible for safe mounting, local recording laws, consent requirements and avoiding interaction with the phone while driving.
What’s new
Choose Dual cameras (default) or Back camera only on compatible devices, and change your choice in Settings. Corrects opposing landscape camera orientations on OnePlus 11R running Android 16. Existing recordings, preferences, feedback and update paths are preserved.
